Examples of  elements or information that should never be posted on social media include:

  • Product samples

  • Fabric samples

  • Creative inspiration

When capturing content, please also follow the guidelines specific to your area of the business.

Home Office

Photos taken in areas of URBN brand buildings/spaces at the Navy Yard should be carefully  evaluated for proprietary or non-public information. This is especially true in areas not accessible to the public or which require URBN ID Badge access.

Note: There are also several Navy Yard-owned areas where photography is strictly prohibited. To learn  more, review the Navy Yard Map >

Stores & Restaurants

Photos and videos should not be taken in the back of house or manager’s offices for use in social  media posts. Additionally, processes described in the Opening & Closing Back Office Procedures as well as operational processes like transfers, markdowns, damages and dimeouts, should not be

filmed or photographed. Ensure the space is clear of any proprietary information, including in the  background of photos.

Supply Chain

Photos and videos should not be taken on the warehouse floor, in break rooms, or in offices for use  in social media posts unless prior approval has been given by leadership. Any processes happening on  the warehouse floor, in break rooms, or in offices may not be shared on social media.

If you are unsure whether certain information is confidential or if you have any questions about social  media use, consult with your manager or reach out to hr@urbn.com.
